Let us start with the question that every curious internet user asks. What is internet marketing? As the term suggests, it is performing a marketing action on the internet. The next question is usually, what do people sell on the internet? The most common answer would be: anything! Think about eBay, what do people sell there? Anything. A Flower shop sells flowers and a grocery store sells groceries. So practically, one can sell anything on the internet.
First let me explain the difference between SEO and SEM. SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization and it is basically the process of making your website more visible by putting out links to it in high traffic areas where people will see them. SEO professionals will also register you with the search engine indexing services and directories that may be beneficial to you and they will re-write your website so that your content is more relevant. SEM stands for Search Engine marketing and it means buying traffic using Pay per Click, E-Mail marketing, and other methods which produce immediate results. Both of these strategies cost money so don’t listen to anyone who tells you SEO is free.
Interactivity – Put out a question to your listeners over the course of your podcast. Offer a call-in line that’ll send you calls as attachments via email, then use a free conversion tool like Audacity to convert those wav files to mp3. Those files can then be strung together and uploaded to your podcast so that callers can make suggestions on things they’d like you to cover and internet marketing the issues they want to hear about.
YouTube is the number one video sharing site today. It has been the main tool to discover many of today’s talents. It has constantly provided us with great entertainment of various genres.
It was December of 2009; a client told me that I will be developing a website that needs to earn 20% of the actual revenue every month. So, I thought of different Internet Marketing Strategies on how I will do that before I start developing it. With the help of my Search Engine digital marketing (SEM) Consultant, PHP Web Programmer, and my Copywriter I did build a website that I used to do this report.
Ben: A 28 year-old Entrepreneur (a.k.a. unemployed) man from Texas. He has a shoe size of 11.5 in case you were wondering. ABC has obviously increased the number of meaningful questions on the application. He writes that his three worst attributes are “short attention span, sometimes a bad listener,… wait what was the question? Oh! Something shiny!” He also wishes that if he could live in any other time period, it would be “Jesus’ timespan.” I can’t tell if he is religious, wishes he could walk on water, or is in need of a carpenter.
Our small business owners don’t have these resources and quite frankly, they don’t have the time to develop their marketing. They have an hour here and there and try whatever seems accessible at the time. The result, fragmented marketing and inconsistent marketing and great sense of disappointment and disenchantment for the business owner.
For example, if your video is on the topic of using video to market your business… don’t go too far off on a tangent and start talking about blogging or SEO. If there’s a link (see tip 9), make the point and move on. Those links will provide you ideas for other topics and you can mention in your video that you have another video specifically on that related topic. So in my video about making videos, I would mention about putting your video or a link to it on your blog, and then tell them about my other video on using blogs to market your business.
If you’re considering using the services of an internet marketing agency to control your online marketing, you must do a little bit of homework first. You have to select the best company to preserve and grow your brand online. The wrong agency may harm your track record. Request proof of previous results, recent case studies and if possible, some references as well. All of this will help you decide if you intend to opt for the business in question.
Remember, even if are accurately targeting your best customer, your campaign will only be a success if you get them to act on your offer and opt-in to your database. Be sure to spend enough time tailoring your message and offer to the people who will receive your campaign.
